I, Bill Cherny, was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1997 and the Wisconsin State Bar in 1998. I was also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, including the Bankruptcy Court.
From 2002-2004 I was an Assistant Public Defender in the Kane County Public Defender’s Office. I have been in private practice since 2005.
I was admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2019.
I completed my undergraduate education at The Ohio State University (B.S. 1977) and received an MBA from Illinois Benedictine University (1991). I completed my legal education at John Marshall Law School (J.D. 1997)
I am a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
